Michael-Monfared
My name is Michael Monfared. I have recently been approved by The Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) to work as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).
Before becoming a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, I worked for my mother’s immigration practice, Immigration Canada Maria Cottone. She founded her company in 2007 with her husband (my father), Kami Monfared. Together they built a name for themselves in the Iranian community and became trustworthy professionals in the field of Immigration with help from the bi-weekly newspaper, Paivand. The only advertising my mother has ever done is with Paivand and she also wrote two articles a month related to immigration news
My mother held a special place in her heart for the Iranian community and worked very hard to help citizens of Iran and other nationality start a new life in Canada. During her time as an Immigration Consultant, she made it a point to not only help Iranians immigrate to Canada but also formed many personal friendships along the way. I must not forget to mention that my mother was Italian-Canadian and my father is Iranian-Canadian. Throughout her marriage with Kami, she learned to speak the Persian language and spoke Farsi with great pride anytime she had the opportunity. Yes, she had an accent when she spoke Farsi and couldn’t pronounce certain words properly but she warmed everyone’s hearts when she did.
Almost 3 years ago, I approached my mother and asked her how she liked working as an Immigration Consultant because I was looking to change career and begin a new chapter in my life. She told me that is was the most rewarding job she has ever had. Telling her clients that they have been approved to immigrate to Canada was the highlight of her job but the job also came with hard work, dedication and at time, disappointment.
After thinking about my career change for a few months, I decided to go ahead and take the leap. I started working along side my mother & father and learned everything I can from them. Once I had the ground work set up, I enrolled at Ashton College to earn my diploma in Immigration.
During my time at Ashton College, my mother unfortunately suffered a heart attack and sadly passed away on June 6, 2018. It was a major emotional setback for my father and I. Many thoughts about quitting school and going back to work at a conventional call centre crossed my mind but with the support of my father and my wife, Karolina Britto. I overcame those negative thoughts and rose to the occasion. I successfully graduated from Ashton College with top honours and quickly began the process to become a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant with ICCRC.
Fast forward to today, I am now an RCIC and will continue my mother’s legacy to help people from around the world start a new life in Canada.
Being a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant is not just about filling up application forms and submitting them on behalf of my clients. It’s about assessing everyone’s chances to successfully immigrate to Canada. It’s about keeping up to date with the current immigration programs Canada & Quebec has to offer. It’s about providing useful information to potential Canadian immigrants. It’s about guiding people towards the right path and guiding them as to where they need to improve their eligibility & so much more.
Canada is a hot spot for immigration, it always has been and always will be. People from around the world dream of having a life in Canada and rightfully so. Canada is a rich country that treats its citizens right and not to mention, Canada offers free health care, who doesn’t love that!
Unfortunately, not everyone is eligible for immigration to Canada. That is why I provide free immigration assessments to anyone who desires to immigrate to Canada. My website, will provide you with a questionnaire to fill out. Once your information is provided in the questionnaire, I will then communicate with you within 48 hours to inform you whether or not you are eligible for immigration.
Many factors come into play when being assessed for immigration but the most important factors potential immigrants need to keep in mind are education, work experience, age and language proficiency.
I will be elaborating more on immigration factors in future articles.
A new chapter in my life has now begun and I couldn’t be more thrilled to help people from around the world start a new life in Canada and I will be sharing the journey with all of you.
For more details on any aspect of immigration, please do not hesitate to contact my office. You can speak to me in English, French, Farsi and Italian.
As my mother would always say, keep safe, stay healthy and make sure laughter is in your everyday life.
